MARKS & Spencer might return to western Europe.

It pulled out earlier this decade but is now planning ambitious international expansion.

The company revealed its £750million investment plans yesterday, but the shares fell 15½p to 347p.

Clem Constantine, international director, said: “Western Europe is definitely worth a look again.”
