ARCTIC FREEZE TO HIT AGAIN THIS WEEK

ABOVE: Arctic freeze to hit again this week
8th February 2010

By Emily Hall

BRITAIN will be thrust into another shivering round of Arctic hell this week.

Eastern parts of the country – including London – are due for more snow and temperatures will plummet as low as -12C.

Met Office forecaster Andrew Sibley said last night: “It will feel very cold later in the week. The eastern counties will see significant snowfall.”

The hardest hit parts could get four inches.

Drivers in the north-west have also been put on high alert over deadly frosts.

But Britain is not alone in its winter whiteout.

Residents in the eastern US have been hit with two feet of snow.

Hundreds of thousands were without power last night and worst-hit Philadelphia was at a standstill with a record 28 inches.
