BROWN’S SEEING THE LIGHT

ABOVE: Tired working Brits could enjoy an extra hour
8th February 2010

By Paul Robins

BRITS could enjoy extra long evenings after Gordon Brown suggested the clocks go forward two hours this summer.

The Prime Minister said he was looking at bringing us in line with other European countries.

Fun-loving Brits would have lighter nights to enjoy barbecues and cheer on England in the World Cup.

The PM, 58, told tourism leaders the change could boost the economy by as much as £3.5billion a year.

He said: “I cannot promise a three-year trial but it is something that I’m thinking about very carefully.”
