WEEKEND WAGERS

ABOVE: Ferguson must hold back
17th October 2009
WOOLY'S WORLD

SIR Alex Ferguson must keep his cool at Old Trafford today after his tirade about referee Alan Wiley’s fitness a fortnight ago.

Fergie is 20-1 to become the next manager to be sent to the stand. Favourites are Gary Megson of Bolton, Fergie’s opponent today, and Sam Allardyce at Blackburn. Both are 11-1.

If referee Mark Clattenburg doesn’t finish the match at Old Trafford, bookmaker Paddy Power will give you 33-1.

It is the same price for Wiley, who is in charge of Wigan against Manchester City tomorrow.

Villa’s Emile Heskey is 11-1 to get the first goal against Chelsea today.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp goes back to Fratton Park today with three Pompey old boys – Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Niko Kranjcar.

If one of them scores it’s 11-10 and 9-2 if two of them score. If all three are on target it’s 20-1 with Paddy.
