A CASH strapped footy boss who shut down part of his stadium because of falling fan numbers has played a blinder - by substituting the real thing with rolls of plastic supporters.
THIS is the moment a reckless motorist soaks teenagers in a new craze dubbed ''happy splashing''.
The yob driver and his passenger are heard shouting and howling with laughter as he powers through a puddle to soak school children waiting for a bus.
He films himself speeding down a hill and swerving to hit the puddle and cover the group of youngsters with a huge wall of dirty rainwater.
The man later posted his footage on YouTube and Facebook where it was viewed up to 500 times before it was removed following complaints.
It is the latest in a series of clips posted onto social networking sites in a new craze called ''happy splashing''.
The videos all feature drivers filming themselves with cameras and mobile phones as they steam through puddles at speed to douse shocked pedestrians.
Police say the craze is illegal and dangerous as it reckless driving and can lead to young and elderly people being drenched.
The latest ''happy splashing'' saw the motorist spray children waiting at bus stop in Plymouth, Devon.
A video of the event was taken from inside the car and starts with the voice of a man narrating the journey, saying: ''Here we go, ready to drench the kids.''
As the car reaches the bottom of the hill the driver splashes through a puddle at enough speed to send a wall of water over six children.
The female driver is heard laughing as the man shouts: "That was brilliant! awesome".
They posted the video on line and wrote underneath: "A rainy afternoon. Huge puddle. Me driving, my man recording - drowned a bunch of school kids at the bus stop.
''Was so good in fact, that we turnt (sic) around and did it again!!!"
Their 30-second film - called 'drowning school kids' - was watched hundreds of times after it was posted on YouTube and Facebook on Thursday.
But following complaints it was forwarded to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and the film was removed 24 hours later.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police labelled the craze ''illegal and dangerous'' and said driving through a puddle to target pedestrians is a criminal offence.
A spokesman for AA added: "Driving fast through standing water is inconsiderate and illegal.
''You could face a hefty fine and between three and nine penalty points if the police believe you were driving without reasonable consideration to other road users."
In 2005 a man from Yeovil in Somerset was fined £150 and given three points after accidentally driving through a puddle at 10mph, soaking the trousers of a workman standing at the side of the road.
Last year a woman in Manchester failed her driving test after accidentally splashing a woman standing at a bus stop. She was told it was a legal requirement to stop and provide her details to the pedestrian.
