KEIRON CUNNINGHAM is ready to ignore medical advice to lead out St Helens in Saturday’s Grand Final.
The veteran hooker and captain played with a broken hand in the 14-10 qualifying win over Wigan last Saturday and was having a scan on the injury yesterday.

“Keiron will play regardless of what the scan comes back as,” said Saints coach Mick Potter.
“He a pretty determined character.”
Stand-in Paul Wellens said: “I will be glad to follow him out. He’s fantastic player and servant for the club.”
Saints are looking to avoid a third successive Grand Final defeat at the hands of Leeds, who are chasing a historic hat-trick of titles.
Coach Brian McClennan wouldn’t divulge the nature of the injury sustained by star full-back Brent Webb in last Friday’s win over Catalans Dragons but said: “It is not a major concern. He’ll definitely be in the starting 17.”
Pack magician Ali Lauitiiti has recovered from a virus and will be on the bench.
“He’s been bouncing at training,” added McClennan, whose team start favourites.
