THE postal strikes have so far delivered a devastating bill of more than £1billion to the British economy.
Action by Royal Mail workers, led by the Communication Workers Union’s Dave Ward, meant a quarter of business post had to be sent by alternative arrangements, costing UK firms £737m.
Shopping comparison site Kelkoo put the total strike cost to the UK economy at £1.04bn.
